We’re Shenal & Shika!
We got married at the end of 2022 in beautiful Sri Lanka, surrounded by our favorite people. And yes we know how exciting (and sometimes a little overwhelming) wedding planning can be! we've been there. That’s why we’re here to make your photography experience easy, fun, and stress-free. It's important that you pick a supportive team that does more than just take photos at your wedding.
I’m Shenal, the photographer, and my wife Shika helps run the studio and keep everything organized BTS.
With over six years of experience and hundreds of weddings captured, I know how to bring out the best in every moment, so you can relax and actually enjoy your day without worrying, and the last thing you want is stiff, awkward poses (BIG NO for that).

We Hate Photos! What Do We Do?
I totally get it! Many of my couples feel awkward in front of the camera (honestly, same!). But trust me, you’ll feel completely comfortable with me, no matter how camera-shy you think you are!
Instead of stiff, forced poses, I’ll keep things fun and natural with movement-based prompts. We’ll play some little games, share some laughs, and just enjoy the moment. Oh, and be ready for some seriously lame jokes from me I promise they’ll make you smile!
What If We Don’t Need Engagement Photos?
No problem! The engagement session can be removed, and $200 will be taken off your package price. I include engagement sessions in every package at a low cost because it’s a great way for us to meet and get comfortable before your wedding day.
How Many Hours Should I Book?
It all depends on what you’d like captured! For most weddings, an 8-10 hour booking covers everything from the start of the ceremony to the end of the formalities. This usually includes some prep shots at the beginning of the day, and I’ll stick around for about 30-45 minutes of dance floor fun.
If you want full coverage from start to finish, a 9-hour booking is perfect, it’ll cover everything from morning prep to the very last moments of your celebration.
When you book, I’ll send over some questionnaires and guides to help plan your timeline. From there, we’ll create a schedule that fits your day perfectly. Got any questions? Just let me know!
We Don't Want Our Photos On Social Media
If you and your partner prefer to keep your wedding photos off social media, I totally understand. It’s your special day, and you should feel completely comfortable with how your memories are shared. Before we finalize the contract, I’ll make sure to include this in the email, just to give you extra peace of mind!
Are You Willing To Travel?
Yes, absolutely! There are no travel fees if I’m driving less than 150 km from greater Vancouver or if a ferry is needed. No accommodation fees either! Feel free to ask me if you’re planning a wedding outside this area.
Do You Bring A Second Photographer?
It’s totally up to you! A second photographer can be helpful, especially for getting
ready photos (so both partners’ moments are captured) and for the ceremony, where
multiple angles help tell the full story of your day. It’s a great way to ensure no
special moment is missed!
